The back to school season is a special time of year as parents, students, and teachers prepare to re-engage with learning. Returning to school brings a sense of excitement and anticipation to the entire community.
At Education Matters, back to school happens all year round and carries that same excitement and anticipation. Each day, we welcome students from all different learning backgrounds who are excited and anxious about stepping into a classroom.
For many of our students, walking through our doors is their first time in 10 or 20 years back in a classroom seeking to complete high school. For some in our English classes, it is their first time ever walking into a classroom. Back to school is about finding the courage and strength within themselves to re-engage in learning.
I invite you to learn about our students through their stories of coming back to learning. Over the next month we will publish videos and written stories about our students’ journies in education. If you want to learn more, I would love to invite you for a personal tour to meet our students and to see our work in action.
On behalf of our students, I ask you to consider investing directly to their educational journey. Your investment helps us welcome 500 students to re-engage with learning through Education Forward and English Connection classes.
